Children Programs

We are very concerned with the well being and education of children. Most parents do everything they can to teach their children self-confidence, respect, discipline, focus and goal setting. But many parents need some help. After all, with our busy 21st Century schedules, it's hard to find the time and resources to help them with these important life skills. You would think and expect that they would learn these important traits in school, but they really don't.

Our unique children programs use interesting and enjoyable methods to keep students attention and to teach students skills that they can use for a lifetime. We have developed three age specific children's programs. When developing these programs we made sure to take into consideration the specific areas of development of the students. The techniques that are being taught are age appropriate. Younger students are unable to perform certain techniques due to the lack of motor skills and balance. Some techniques should not be taught to children because of their nature. We feel that some techniques should be reserved for the advanced students due to the nature of the techniques. Advanced student's posses a better understanding of the martial arts, more self control and has proven him/herself to the instructors.

ACADEMY TRAITS
Honor  Perseverance
Respect  Self Control
Courtesy  Loyalty
Integrity

Statutes and Traits along with the focus on goal setting, self-discipline, concentration and a positive mental attitude is the cornerstone to the success of our students and Academy.

The Academy's belt promotion system is based on the principle of constant and never ending improvement towards Black Belt excellence. Self-confidence and improved self-esteem are developed through a series of wining experiences. Students can earn new belts, special colored stripes for their belt and patches for their uniform.

We call it the "Black Belt Success Cycle"

  1. Know what you want
  2. Have a plan, and a success coach
  3. Take constant action
  4. Review your progress
  5. Renew your goals

The martial arts belts represent short-term goals, stepping stones towards the achievement of the most sought after belt; the BLACK BELT. Students set their goal, practices and work for it, achieves it and sets a new goal. They start to believe in themselves and it gives them an experience that they can look back and say, "If I can do that I can do anything I put my mind to!"

The Support Triangle

The Support Triangle

Teamwork is essential when raising and developing a child. That is why we have a mandatory form that must be completed by any student that is testing for a new rank. The Intent To Test letter must be signed and dated by both the parents and the student's teachers in order to test for the next level. If the student is acting in a respectful manner at home and school and receiving passing grades then they will be promoted to the next level. Being a Black Belt is not just in the Dojo, it is everywhere that the student goes. It is a way of life.

Students who attend the US Martial Arts Academy are a step up on others because of these important life skills!
